DIFFERENT TOOLS aims to explore the internet not just as a communication medium, but as a tool for creation and meaning making — with a focus on the browser as a site of creative potential. Our approach breaks free from the control of maximalist agents and embraces the internet's participatory, open-source spirit to share knowledge and build tools that foster spaces for artistic production. Central to this is the creation of a testing ground for exploring emerging tools and experimental methods — a space in which alternative approaches to studio culture and the design brief can be challenged, refined, and actively prototyped. By situating this work within the context of graphic design education, we aim to question traditional pedagogical models and promote a more process-driven, adaptive and collaborative approach to learning.
